Capacity Building Training For Officers

The Judicial Training Institute is organizing a 3-day capacity building training course for Officers of District Courts in the country, at Takorida in the Western Region of Ghana.

The programme is designed to instill in participants an understanding of Court Room Ethics, Complaints Management, Effective Communication, Attitudinal Change and Productivity, Team Building and Time Management Skills. This is intended to build participants capacity to perform their job functions effectively as court room officers.

The objectives of this training programme is basically

• 1. To enhance their practical knowledge and skills on effective court procedures
  as well as administer courts efficiently and effectively.
• 2. To enable participants understand and appreciate the values and concepts
  of their profession by inculcating in them the values and attitudes that will enable them think
  and act judicially. 
• 3. To improve their communication skills and assist them become effective team players.
• 4. To enable participants acquire positive attitudes for increased productivity at the work place.

This training programme starts on Thursday 16, October 2008 and ends on Saturday the 18th of October 2008. It is funded by DANIDA.
