Workshop on Punishment and Sentencing
The Judicial Training Institute, is organizing a two-day workshop on Punishment and Sentencing for all Circuit Court Judges and Magistrates within Accra and Tema municipality. The workshop will take place on 30th to 31st January 2009 at the Judicial Training Institute (JTI), Cantonments, Accra. Registration of participants would start at 08.30 am and which would be followed by the start of the programme at 09:00 am prompt. The Workshop is intended to discuss common problems that are encountered during sentencing proceeding. In addition the workshop would address common mistakes and errors that are made in the application of the rules on punishment and sentencing. It is envisaged that at the end of the Workshop participants would have enhanced their skill levels to more effectively, efficiently and appropriately handle sentences and punishments in criminal cases. |
